  1. The Diagnosis

Diagnosis is the identification of the nature and cause of a certain phenomenon. Diagnosis is used in many different disciplines with variations in the use of logic, analytics, and experience to determine "cause and effect".

  2. The Challenge

To save right eye from blindness. To screen other eye at regular intervals and prevent retinal detachment by treating any suspicious lesion.

  3. The Treatment

We advised him immediate surgical intervention. He took time to think. He presented after one week. Unfortunately macula was shallow -off till then.He was operated: scleral buckling +subretinal fluid drainage+cryopexy under local anesthesia with sedation

  4. The Outcome

The patient is doing well with totally attached retina and best corrected visual acuity of better than 6/12 with slight discomfort, one month post oeratively.
